Job Description

A well‑established Orlando law office is seeking an experienced Commercial Litigation Legal Assistant to join its growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail‑oriented professional with strong legal administrative experience and a passion for supporting busy attorneys in a fast‑paced environment.

Position Overview

The ideal candidate brings 5+ years of legal support experience , strong organizational and communication skills, and advanced proficiency in MS Word (priority), Outlook, and Excel . A typing speed of 65+ wpm with high accuracy is required.

Candidates must also have hands‑on experience with Florida court procedures , including e‑service and e‑filing .

⚖️ Key Responsibilities

  • Prioritize and manage administrative tasks efficiently
  • Open and maintain client files
  • Draft and prepare legal documents and correspondence
  • Perform e‑filing through state and federal systems
  • Assist attorneys with deposition, hearing, mediation, and trial preparation
  • Schedule hearings, depositions, mediations, and related events
  • Maintain organized case materials, binders, and folders
  • Conduct conflict checks
  • Manage attorney calendars and provide timely reminders

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Strong understanding of legal terms & procedures
  • Knowledge of Federal and Florida Rules of Civil Procedure
  • Ability to multitask and interact professionally with diverse groups
  • Excellent time‑management skills
  • High attention to detail
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication
